Motivation
Motivation
Motivation is one of the ThinkBig39 main pillars. The pillar aims to bring a mindset shift in students and learners, allowing them to see beyond their current circumstances by embracing positive attributes. This will result in improved performance, personal growth, and a refined sense of purpose.
Our learner-based motivation is provided through our members who are students at institutions of higher learning, postgraduates in business or the corporate space as well as employees of our various corporate partners. We embrace a traditional method of motivation. This incorporates storytelling that is rooted in lived experiences; we believe that effective motivation is based on authenticity.
- - For high school learners, we run regular school tour projects, where we go to schools to motivate learners from grade 8 to grade 12.
- - For students and young professionals, we organise "The Standout Conversation" virtual sessions, where we invite guests who are experts in their respective fields, to share their career/business journey, this includes their success and failure stories.
Furthermore, we post weekly motivational content on our various social media platforms, every Monday. "There's no better feeling than to start a week on a high note".
We provide student learner mentorship, student to student mentorship and professional to student (recent graduate) mentorship. Our mentorship is effective because it's based on three core principles of Clarity, Communication and Commitment. Mentors are encouraged to discuss and outline the mentorship goals with their mentees, monitor the progress and regularly report results to the mentorship committee.
Our high school mentorship program, also referred to as student to leaner mentorship, is offered to high school clubs (group of learners) or selected individual learners.
